Preparing for a Behavioural Session

Kindly send a full breakdown of the problem behaviour as soon as you have booked the session, please go into as much detail as you can so that I can have a clear understanding of what I need to work on with the animal. Also note that only one behavioural issue will be worked on during a behavioural session, should other behaviours stem from one main issue then please relay this to me during the breakdown that is sent beforehand.
Communication isn’t mind control, you cannot change the personality of an animal, and sometimes I may not be able to “fix” the issues. If the animal does not want to change or sees no need or reason to change their behaviour, then they won’t. It is also important to note that if you are asking an animal to change, then you also must be willing to make changes. Animals can also not be forced to do something that they do not want to.  Just like humans, some cases will need long term behavioural care - some behaviours can simply not be fixed in a short period of time.
I am a qualified animal behaviourist and can assist in offering insight, guidance and clarity to aid in resolving problems between animals and their humans. They will always do what makes sense to them through their viewpoint that comes from their experiences, education and background, and I am there to relay this viewpoint and try to come up with a resolution. Sometimes the problem isn’t with them, it can be you, your family, the situation, management, genetics, diet, background, breeding, etc.
What to expect after the Behavioural Consult:
Changes in behaviour may occur - this is normal - sometimes there are mild to drastic changes - and even though 98% of the time these changes are for the better, there have been instances where things have completely changed to a point that it becomes bad behaviour, then I need to be made aware of these types of changes immediately. This often happens in multi-animal households because dynamics may shift according to the parent's behavioural modification request.
Communication isn’t mind control, you cannot change the personality of an animal, and sometimes I may not be able to “fix” the problem, especially If the animal does not want to change or see no need or reason to change their behaviour that they can agree with, then they won’t. It is also important to note that if you are asking an animal to change, then you also must be willing to make changes as well as do extra work that I will recommend you do in order to reach a desired result.
Some behavioural problems may not be solved immediately and will need more than one session.
Please note that the daily updates need to be sent through by the parent for the 5 days after the main behavioural consult. Daily updates will not be requested by me; the parent must send these updates through - whether it be positive or negative.  Please note that the 5 follow up sessions are only valid for 1 MONTH after the initial session.
